That Harrington looks almost like one that I started a mod on. The one that I have doesn't have the sliding door or the ugly V, or the CD holder on top. <sarcasm> I wonder why it's on sale for only $14.99. That's $.01 more than half off. </sarcasm> It might have been cool to some people in the '90s, but now, I can't imagine anybody buying that. The color of that raidmax is almost equally obnoxious, but not so ugly.

Ha!! That's funny, a friend of mine just bought that Raidmax for an HTPC case. :D Mind you, it is hidden away so as not to be seen by guests, but it's still pretty funny. :) I'll have to let him know it's up for an award of some kind.

I kinda like the look of the case d_stilgar posted, but that looks like something I would mod a case into. Definately not worth it to buy that, even if that is supposed to be one of those fanless cases.

I personally think anything with chrome & plastic on it marked as a "gamer" case looks stupid, like the NZXT Apollo I used to have. Granted it was a good case I just think it is ugly.

Asus Vento. Doesn't leave much room for anything with all the cheap shiny plastic.
I think the only thing that would be worth modding is the crappy plastic latch on the front.
I would be surprised if it lasted a month without breaking.

Well, personally, a lot of these cases (except for a few) are dirt cheap and could be stripped out if you need a motherboard tray with pci slots in another computer mod....

Don't tell that to the chick here that was doing a mod to a Vento. MDS or whatever her name was? Project: Lamborghini was the mod. I don't think she ever finished it but the work done to it before she disappeared was still awesome.

For a case I really couldn't mod, I choose the Cooler Master Stacker 830. I have one and promised myself that I will never ever cut a hole in it, or paint it. I've purchased many cases, then put a computer in them, then taken the parts out to mod it, then messed something up, and now I have lots of working parts without cases and lots of unfinished case mods. Doh! I will never do that to my Stacker. I need to have a computer I use, not just one I mod all the time. Haha.

For the Lian-Li PC-777, granted its two but not one, at some point some guy was doing a mod where he put two together and the front was a big lcd. It was actually coming out pretty cool. Made a crappy looking case(imo) into something that was actually pretty interesting.

Raidmax is right up there, too, with the eye-searing Aura (http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/596), available in bubblegum pink, love-hotel-satin-sheet light blue, accidental-two-tone pastel lime, and black. The pink's probably the worst of the bunch.

The, er, Dracula isn't allll that bad, if you could get rid of the shiny mouth-thing. And the side fan grill. And the whatever-it-is emblem at the top of the door. And vinyl-dye the power/reset buttons.

That other... thing... may be slick, but it's just a $50 case with a Mile O' Plastic hanging off the front. Didn't work for Pontiac, shouldn't work for Sunbeam.

I'd be amazed to find an airbrush artist who will do you're whole car for $800. While I agree that $1200 for a $250-300 case is excessive, the detail in the airbrushing is pretty impressive and would take a long time to paint.

I agree with DonT-Fear though, for $1200 I would have liked to see green plexi or mesh like the Nvidia Edition Stacker.

I've found a case in serious need of modding, however trying to mod it in anyway other than spray painting it yellow and putting a CAT logo on the side might be near impossible.
