So far thats all i have, im looking for insite on what to do with it, i plan on setting up rgb led's like was done on the xps laptop, but id be using alot more of them to contrast the lighting properly. its eventually going to be a water cooled case.
Materials i'll be using Will be 3/8" acrylic and 1/8" aluminum (i already have the edging done up)
and as a last note, sorry about the look, i havent quite figured out 3ds to make a more visually appealing picture

So this will be a scratchbuild then, or are you modding an existing case?

for 3-d modeling, check out google sketchup (http://sketchup.google.com/), and look here (http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=105) for tips and tricks
very easy to use, if you can do CAD then you can definitely do this. Check out my build to see some images, I whipped that up in an hour and a half or so, and it was the first modeling program I've ever used :D

When I saw the title for this project, I was thinking that you were going to be using 4 way crossfire. I'm guessing from the size and shape of your motherboard in your CAD drawings that this won't be so?
What hardware are you thinking of putting in this baby? Looks real sweet from the CAD drawings, cant wait to see the final thing.

In my plexi scratchbuild, I used 1 1/2" rod for the corners and machined grooves from the bottom almost to the top, then slid the side panels in from the bottom. When they are in place they look permanently installed, but you can slide it to the side of your desk and drop them right out.

and now that i have those im getting a bit better picture of what im working with, of course i left a few small details out, but i was my first renderings on sketch-up...
i still have no idea how im going to make side panels. i was thinking something like a french double door type thing, with piano hinges and soem form of aluminum "L" around the border to keep it from pushing inside the case.

Been away looking for a job and such, finally got back to work on this, in the physical sense, couple weeks I'll have the main part done, then its on to the wiring and everything else.
and of course, here's some pictures.
Full Sheet of Plexiglas:

There's going to be a few deviations from the original specs, ill have to make a brace for the base and i need to get a few pieces of aluminum to cover the marks from the Plexiglas 5 inches up the case, don't want to be seeing cut marks.
I'm still looking for a good way to fasten it, I've come to the conclusion rivets wont work, so I'm pretty sure its going to be tapped and screwed together, but for now I'll use epoxy its just hard to find something with a long drying time, i need at least 10 minutes, but the more the better.
if i don't get to assembly of parts tomorrow it will be Monday before i get back to you guys again.
