I'm getting the Q9550 for my R2-M5 Upgrade and don't know if I should just stick with the stock cooler or should I get a new heatsink. I will not be OC'ing so I don't need anything fancy much less WC. Any ideas/recommendations?

Because you are not OC'ing it then I would assume that the stock heatsink will be fine. I've overclocked my E6320 a bit with the stock heatsink and it was fine.

The stock coler is enough, even with moderate overclocking. Only buy an aftermarket cooler if you want to keep it in the mid 20°s. In my opinion, it is not worth it.

As for the question, for piece of mind I would get a Thermalright TRUE120, with or without a fan it's a great cooler.
