I'm going to be getting a new computer soon and am considering doing crossfire over SLI as many benchmarks show a lot of improvement and best performance/dollar. Which Intel motherboards are best? At least which chipsets should I look for to know that I will be getting high performance. Thanks!

High performance as in Expensive? Because there's alot of boards that are great, but rediculously expensive

I'm not shy to spend $175-275 on a motherboard for good upgradability and performance. The board I have chosen now is a 790i and is around $250. I just want to know what to look for for Crossfire.

Look at the motherboards with X58 chipsets ;)

for current the current intel socket 775 then go p45 or x48, both good.
for future with i7 intels (Nehalem)
here are some boards (high end, i'm guessing $300+ when they come out) all (i think all) can do sli OR crossfire :)

Not all of the X58 boards can do both SLI and crossfire, some will be crossfire only. Certified boards will have both SLI and crossfire available for use.
(Note, you can only use one at one time.)
