Hey guys, I've been busy modding my pc and decided that i would share the process. I pretty much just get bored and have nothing to do so i decide to mod things. Oh and I dont have a mod name so give me some ideas. This is what i want to get done in the mod...

-case window
-paint case shiny black
-add case feet
-add handles
-new hdd rack
-add switches to one of the cd drive bays
-add lights
-optimize my cable spacing
-possibly add fan under case

So that is what i want done. I have the case Antec NSK4480.

and this is what the inside looks like..

this is what i have done.

-hdd rack
-and i started other things

Hdd rack process. I wanted it to be as simple as possible but i wanted it to look good. I first thought that the hdd rack should be vertical because it makes sense for heat to dissipate easier. So i started with this.

i just could not stand the ugliness so...

just a cardboard cut out. next was to trace it to metal and cut.

1000 grit sandpaper

http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p61/IK_TaT3rs/pcandcars034.jpg
1500 grit
http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p61/IK_TaT3rs/pcandcars030.jpg
and finally 2000 grit

http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p61/IK_TaT3rs/pcandcars042.jpg
so that came out just as i hoped. next was to bend it and make holes.

after that time to drill into case. this is said easier than done. took a lot of measurements to get it perfect.

So i was really happy how the hdd rack came out. It helps managing cables a lot easier.

Now for paint. I tried a couple different brands out and ive been using a brand called valspar. Its thicker paint which i like. I tried out paint it just came out wrinkeld and bad. So the top panel was my test piece. pics

those pics are without clear coat so i pretty happy with it so far. Also picked up a buffer the other day so hopefully i can get an awesome shine out of it.

I also got the window cut out. I'm thinking about expanding it to show off the hard drive rack.

Its a little scratched but i will bondo it up. i plan on make the holes for the window so i can screw it in this weekend, so stay tuned. Ill be sure to have more stuff soon.

I really like it alot. on the window it looks awesome right there to hid most f the clutter for the cables and such. If you do extend it i would make a peic eof that metal and put it behind the hdd racka dn then further stealth the power cables and such. theat would really make it clean
