Whenever i try to watch videos and whatnot they will just stop.I'm mainly concerned about the downloads because it is very aggravating i think i may need a new network card, i need some suggestions

It could also be your router or modem. Pretty much any card would work. You can get one that will work for $10. If you want to go all out, get something like this (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833342001).

Ok, everything works fine on my laptop though, that's the only reason why i don't think it would be my router or modem. any good brands of network cards that you would suggest? I want a good one, at least one equivalent to the one i have on my motherboard now or better. but then again I'm not trying to spend over 100 dollars

Ok, how about this (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833166004)? Or, if you want gigabit ethernet in the future, or you already have it, get something likethis (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833166017).

If you have a gigabit router, you can get ten times the speed within your network.

First thing I would check.. make sure you have updated drivers. NICs are cheap anymore, but hey, if you can save that $5 for something else, it's worth it.
