I saw a thread on this somewhere here, how to reinstall windows a backdoor way without losing hard drive data. Had screenshots and all. I can't seem to find it and searched but couldn't find it. Anyone know where it us? :?
Check this thread, contraptionmaker changed his post to remove the pics for copyright but the link is still there

Hi everybody,
I have made a request to the editor to allow me to post the article in its entirety in the tutorial section. As soon as I hear back I will let you know.
Here is my original post:
How bout a non-destructive reinstall of windows? I have done this several times and it has saved me as many times.
This is not my article. It is from the Information Week newsletter I get. I hope this is ok to post like this.
If not just let me know, I'll take it down and post a link instead.
(edit) I have decided to remove this post to prevent copyright infringement. I have a letter into the editor for permission to post this on TBCS. If granted I will post the entire article in the tutorial section. In the mean time here is a link to the original post.

you can also use "The ultimate Boot CD for windows (http://www.ubcd4win.com/)"
it basscially uses your legal cd of windows to make a second cd and lets you run windows from your cd drive. you can look through EVERY file on your hdd. there is also a ton of programs for various things on it.

I agree Spawn this is an excellent program but you need to build this CD before you have a problem!
