I was thinking about creating a case for the new version of Ubuntu that has just come out. Ive been getting ideas from some of the artwork that was put out by some of the community members over there. :D Really would like to start a project. Any suggestions are welcome.

Don't forget a "Please play on the grass" sign!
Also: This is a much better idea than a Hairy... err, Hardy Heron case. ;)

Haha. Yeah. The Ibex def. looks better than a dirty bird ^^.

Like I said, it's crappy. I need to get sketching by hand. lol. But the main point is there. I want to light up both sides of the case with orange LEDs around the plexi, and have a grille covering that fan hole. The front is going to have the three circles and the round logo (done horribly. lol) with a fan behind them. The specs for the computer aren't going to be great, but it'll run the OS just fine. ^^
Specs for project:
Intel Pentium D 915 Presler @ 2.8GHz
No CD Drive (going for the whole USB thing; flat look; just had this idea)
1 GB DDR2 667
Asus P5L-MX motherboard
cheapy something-watt PSU
Intel onboard graphics

I'm going to see if this will be okay with my teacher, but I got the coolest idea. I need to use some of her equipment to do it, but i want to make this case out of natural materials. I was thinking about doing a partial/complete case in clay. :D

:D I might be able to count this as my exam project if she lets me.
I'll work out a sketchup once again and do some hand sketches soon.

Of course, these would be without lighting, cause I'm not that good with sketchup.

This looks awesome. I plan on downloading Sketchup when I get back to NY. Looking forward to seeing more progress with this. :)

Switching back to a metal design, but I'll cleverly design it to look like it's raw :).
