I HIGHLY recommend watching the videos

but for those who don't like reading a lot, here's a really quick summery

CO-OP FPS + ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE + SOURCE ENGINE

The part that REALLY gets me jumped is "The Director", it sees your playing ability and style and tailors the zombie's spawn point to keep it interesting. So if you've got low health and ammo, the game will let up on you a bit, but if your pwn'n like there's no tomorrow, then it will throw everything it's got at you.

Yes, thats right, a game that has actually done something to reduce a player's frustration at a game

My only question is why hasn't anyone heard about it? it's getting released on the 18th, and NO ONE at my school had heard about it! It's a valve game so its not like its some small company that no ones heard of. the only reason i know about it is because of the ads on steam

EDIT: Just found out they release a tv ad..

cant wait till this thursday (steam pre orders get access to a demo on the 6th)

The only thing that has dissapointed me was the weapon selection. Sure, they have an M16, an Uzi, 2 different shotguns and a sniper, but wheres the REAL zombie weapons? No spiked 2/4's, no flamethrowers, no nailguns,frag grenades and come on Valve.... NO CROW BAR?

It's not supposed to be in the HL2 universe, so by choice I'm sure there is no crowbar. However, there should be some classic zombie stuff: Revolver, pitchfork, blowtorch, shotgun, dynamite, chainsaw (duh).

I have been playing the demo andI agree with everyone. The game is awesome. I actualyl have everythign as high as it will go and it is boatloads of fun. It does need classic zombie weapons. After playing Fallout 3 I want a sledge hammer so bad it isnt funny.

Too bad they "technically" arent really zombies.. it's more like the 28 days later universe.. some sort of infection that makes them crazy. That's why they are fast.. they arent exactly "reanimated corpses".

HOWEVER.. I WANT THIS GAME SO BAD.. hehe.. My zombie weapon of choice doesnt appear to be in it either.. machete. You dont have to reload those. ;)

I played the demo this morning, and made it through without dying (on Normal). I'll be trying the harder difficulty next. :)

I think I'll have to buy this one for sure.. it's a good thing I have a family connection @ EA. ;)

I just played through one of the levels at a friends house on 360. Two 360s, four player split-screen. It was fun. I also have it for PC, but I need to get my new computer on the internet to play with other people.

they locked the demo when the full game was released. had something to do with if a friend had the full game you could copy the files over to ur demo install and play the full game for free.

Still, its an amazing game. Love how the zombies react to sounds.(friend shot a car and set off the alarm on the hardest difficulty, not fun)

and whats amazing is that the ai "director" learns from how you play and tailors the level to make each playthrough a unique experience

It's good. I'd buy it again, knowing what I know now. It's not as scary or intense as I hoped, but it's good. Achievements are fun. I've got a bunch now and still working on some. I have too much to do though before I get married I really should not play right now.

this game is good but the replay value for the game is less then stellar.. its the same every time, just maybe your second time through you have to save a guy cause he is dumb and gets trapped by a smoker

Your multiplayer options should be the ultimate deciding factor in purchasing this game. Got no friends to play it with and you don't like playing online? Rent it for Xbox 360 if you can then move on. Without MP, there's very little here.
