Including Laptops and Desktops, how many computers do you have?

Assembled and running, or does this include current projects?

I currently have three. Two desktops that are mine and the wife's laptop. I have 2 more but one needs a psu I think and I'm not sure why the other won't work yet.

Three: my desktop, the wife's new laptop and an ancient TI laptop running Windows 3.1. (It's so old it proudly announces on the case that it's in color.)

Mac Mini, Laptop, Desktop, File Server, plus 4 more run, but are currently awaiting a purpose. Oh and 9 more in various stages of disrepair/disassembly.

Main box, backup machine (P4), Mum's computer, Mac-In-The-Box, sometimes-working DEC dual-P2 server, firewall-in-progress (PPro, should be done tomorrow), Gateway P2-400 (presently jobless), Athlon system (1 GHz just lost its motherboard; got a few Athlon XP systems, all dysfunctional, that I can/should consolidate into one in under half an hour). I've also got another Athlon that's a hard drive short of running (is that nine?)

Eight or nine, then, four of which get used regularly.

EDIT: Oh, I didn't count my Compaq laptop (which worked until the internal power board died) or the Dell laptop I may/may not be acquiring shortly. (Don't want to jinx myself there.)

EDIT II: Speaking of Athlon systems... this is post #462! Hah!

Oh, I wonder if the PS or XBox can be considered a PC?

^ I would say no to the 360. But yes to the ps3.

...but at the same time, an original Xbox is basically a 733 Celeron with a GeForce3, while a PS2 is a completely different architecture.

I'd say it's all or nothing in terms of consoles.

Well I have my primary laptop and media rig which i use everyday. About 5 old school Macintosh machines that I don't ever use but would work if i set them up. Several laptops and numerous other systems that might work might not (I am guessing 4+ i could plug in and use). So yea who really knows but it sure is a lot.

+7 category for me. Can't be bothered to count them though tbh. It just changes too often it seems.

One XP system, one Vista system, one system running Windows 7 beta and 4 others running various *nix distros. And one Acer Altos PIII server that's giving me some serious ****fits due to the fact that I'm having some BIOS issues that I will hopefully get resolved this weekend.

So that makes 8 physical computers. The Vista machine has VMWare on it as well, and I imagine that I probably could get three virtual machines up and running on it. Considering that it is a laptop, I'm betting that overall productivity would tank faster than the stock market on it.

Edit: In order to add more fuel to the console/PC debate, I am going to add my PS2 to the list as well, since it is running Linux.

I have a PS/2. But it gives some error at startup. It's some picture that is red. I think it has one of these over it http://z.about.com/d/diyfashion/1/0/Q/6/-/-/NoSign.JPG
