Hi, because my parts for my DS mod haven't come in yet I have been working on converting a PS2 slim into a laptop. I decided to use the screen of an old laptop since it was incredibly thin. Now I am having trouble hooking the screen to the PS2, I assume I need to convert the pin connector into an AV cable. So that is where I need your guys help.

It also has an inverter K00015940

After some research I concluded that I need a controller to do the conversion. I came across a thread on Lumenlab about a guy who did the conversion, but the link to the controller on ebay is dead. http://www.lumenlab.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=17928&view=findpost&p=209177

What you need is a controller to run the LCD. www.earthlcd.com is a good place to look, but your best bet is to either get an LCD that has a tv input, or find a small LCD tv to salvage. Using laptop LCDs for projects seems like a great idea, since they are cheap and plentiful, but the controller requirements often add hundreds of dollars to the cost of the project (if you can even find one compatible to your LCD).

Yeah, I realized this, I guess this project will be on hold, since the main reason I chose to do this because I didn't think it would require much money :/

You *could* get a regular LCD monitor (15") on the cheap, and then pick up a converter to allow the PS2 to attach to the VGA input ont he monitor. If you get one with integrated speakers, that's even more win.

Disassemble the devices to their minimum sizes, and throw the whole works into a single casing.. would be pretty sweet if you ask me. :)

I wanted to make it without spending much money, maybe in the future.
