Paul has brought this up before but I just wanted to remind folks (and inform the newer members) that while we very much appreciate the fact that you are all helping us crack down on the spammers, it is not necessary to report spam posts by clicking the "report" icon. Our moderators are very aggressive spam snipers and catch most all of them very soon (sometimes even before they post!). All the report icon does is fill the staff email boxes with more, well, spam. So unless you see a spammer who has been unchecked for 24hrs, I'd just leave it be. Chances are that our mods have their sights set, fingers on their triggers, and are just waiting for a clear shot. Thanks for watching out though!

Agreed. Often I will recieve an e-mail and right as I open the offending post, it's already gone.

If there's one thing the staff can do here, it's keep the forums clean. And we're damned good.

All reports send emails.

To give you an idea of how much email we get about spammers, keep in mind my email account is maybe three months old.
