Impressive battery life! Even the reviews give it a rating pretty close to Sony's rating. Overall, seems like a pretty excellent player, albeit a bit pricey when not on sale. Too bad its sold out.

You can always get her a Creative Zen. The black models (http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=50001137%2040000023%201398929747%201399029754&name=320%20x%20240&SpeTabStoreType=0) come in 2GB, 4GB, 8GB, 16GB and I believe 32GB somewhere. You can also pick up RED (http://www.amazon.com/Creative-Zen-MP3-Player-Red/dp/B00175E4R2/ref=sr_1_30?ie=UTF8&s=audio-video&qid=1227756886&sr=1-30) and PINK (http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=9874959) models, but the red only comes in 4GB and the pink only comes in 2GB, unfortunately. They do however have expandable memory card slots, but they don't sync with the main library so I recommend they only be used for video. My only other complaint so far is that they do feel a tad bit cheaper than other players. Not too bad really, but no where near as good as iPod for example. The conversion software is a bit slow too, taking about 2 minutes for every minute of video. But at least its simple and easy to understand and since it shrinks the video to fit the player it cuts the file size just about in half. They're worth checking out at the very least, their feature list is quite impressive for their price tags.
