lol those came out ages ago! haha i think i saw them 2 months ago. i would get 1 or 2 but i just don't need that much storage or the patience to have to format that beast.

LOL... They have been selling the 1.5TB drive on Newegg since September! I have been watching the prices drop significantly since there $300 start.

When they hit a little closer to the 100 dollar mark, I think I will be in for 2! :D

I have one. There have been a lot of known issues with drives that big. The first one I had was riddled with bad sectors so I sent it back. My new one had format issues and I had to use Seagate's tools to get it formatted. I then ran chkdsk and it has no bad sectors. I'm running a series of tests on it now to see if it gets screwed up like my last one.

I've got a 500GB and a 400GB, more than I'll ever use

i also have heard issues with raid setups. i believe there fixing that and there best used, at the moment, for mass storage.

exaclty, i have 3 x 250's and 1x 500 and have only used about half of that. and most likely 20gb's are backups.

For the most part my 160GB and 200GB were plenty of space, but I got into this habit of ripping my DVD's to the hard drive so that I can stream them to a projector. Now it seems like there is never enough space :(.

That's my problem too. I rip my DVDs so I don't have to touch them anymore, and then my drives are all full.

We've had alot of problems with those 1.5tb drives at our shop, 3 of the 4 we got were bad. The other one wouldn't format.

Once they work out the problems I might see about getting some, like 4. I needs my space.

I've heard there were some problems with them randomly freezing up, too.
