55nm? Why? But still this thing is going to be a beast. 2X GTX 260s=WIN!:santa:

It looks little though. I'm confused, but I'm excited. Maybe the 260's will drop more and I can afford one.

I've recently only upgraded to a 9800GTX+ and I'll wait for compatible DX11 cards.

I dont even have DX10 yet where you guys going.

I have a DX10 card. But man Vista Hates on networking. Well it hates on alot of things. Hates on available system memory to.

Vista doesn't hate on networking, Networking hates on you. My vista experience improved a lot after it was supported properly.

My transition to Vista went seemlessly, and I have a couple servers and such here on the network. I loved not having to install a single driver, as it did it all on its own.

As for the GTX295, it seems nice. Ehh, I'm not one to grab the top of the line, or close to it, stuff anymore. Learned my lesson with $300+ 8800GTS 320 that runs for like $75 now. The GTX295 will blow everything away for a bit, then half a year later will be attainable for $200, just like the 9800GX2.

What you dont realise is that Vista learns what you do and when, so it can preload your programs into memory before you run them. That is what takes up the extra memory, and it actually makes Vista faster if you use programs around the same time on particular days. If you dont like it, turn it off. Search google for "turn Windows Prefetch off", and you will be victorious.

Personally, I think that it is a poor attempt to compete with the 4870 X2. All they did was slap two 280 cores on one PCB and lower the Clock speed to reduce temperatures. I cant wait for the 5870 X2 :D

It's not 2 280 chips, it's a 260 chip with the same amount of cores as a GTX280. At high resolutions, it shows it's limited memory bandwidth. I won't be buying this card because of that and the fact I know there is something bigger and more powerful coming.

isnt that always the case? Parts always get cheaper, and better stuff always comes out.

Yep, that's always the case, but it's best to know when to get stuff.
