I was in some autoparts store and saw some glowing wire for your car. I noticed the connecting part at the end looks like a fan connector. A fan has 3 holes for prongs, but this glow wire has 2 holes for prongs. I was wondering if this wire could be used to light up a case by pluging it into the motherboard or something.

It is called el-wire. Yes it can be used but not plugged in off the Motherboard.

You plug it in by spilling a molex from your PSU with a connector plug.

You'll want to use this as the motherboard fan slots have their voltage controlled by the BIOS when the computer is running hot or cold, thus increasing and reducing the power to the cable, and i've heard this isnt good for the cable.
Correct me if i'm wrong though.
