BTX cases are not easy to come by. Newegg only has three. Anyone know where to look?

Wow you weren't kidding. I checked Directron out of curiosity and only found 1. I threw an ebay search in and found about 40. But got nothing in google.

You know the solution, and it involves sawing the back of a computer case in half and drilling holes for new standoffs. :D

The Aerocool case that I reviewed has standoff holes for both ATX and BTX. Makes for a very versatile case.

This (http://www.provantage.com/intel-boxdq35joe~7ITEM0EU.htm) is the only BTX motherboard that I could find that supports core 2.

or.. you could stick with a standard ATX.. invert the mobo tray and stick it in the otherside of the case.. like several LIAN-LI cases do.. and you would have a simple BTX style..i have done so with a cheap tinny case... but thats only cuz it was easy to drill thro... and the material could ber shaped to just about anything... i dont know about higher end cases... but im asuming they r made of better metals..

"Future development of BTX retail products by Intel was canceled in September 2006." (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BTX_(form_factor))

I know already.....

R2-M5 doesn't have the components strewn across the insides. I have a crappy case inside of it with the power button, DVD drive and media bay all rerouted to the "outer shell". The case I'm using right now is that Iverted ATX mod I did some time ago. I'm upgrading it to the specs in my Sig, but don't know if it'll be big enough to hold my 3870 X2. That's why I'm trying to find a new BTX case. I'll probably just have to mod another case to Inverted ATX.
