But is it just me or did you completely cover the fan port on the bottom? And covering the PSU on the cord? That's gunna smell MIGHTY ripe pretty quick.

it accually doesnt get hotter than without the ductape, i put holes where the fans are, and gave it good ventalation. besides, i can be the geekiest person around the block that has a ducktape laptop :D its been on for 4 and a half hours now, and its only 30 c.

I am a huge fan of duct tape. i run my own business selling duct tape wallets, hats, purses, backpacks, you name it. But seriously, you could have atleast done it neatly, that is the worst application of duct tape I've ever seen. Point for creativity, mega minus points for cooling, functionality, and neatness. 0/10.

You can buy Duct tape wallets in my union. In the UK it's like this imaginary solve-all that we see on American Sitcoms. Actual brand duct tape isn't readilly avaliable here.

Nice Mod, though if anyone went near my laptop with anything sticky they get their fingers chopped off. I re-enforced this rule after my friends baby managed to grab it after meal time. I actually had to dismantle the laptop to get the baby food out of the fan. Oh, the horror...

Classic, every redneck that knows what a computer is and has even the most basic knowledge of using a computer (turning it on) will envy you, otherwise, it's just a rectangle with duct tape. (No offense to rednecks, there are just some really stupid people that manage to annoy me and it's just the memories, sorry).

Imagine sending that Dell in for maintenance, heh heh... those techies will have fun cracking that sucker open. :D As far as I know duct tape all over the shell doesn't void the warranty. :D

I'll try to pay more attention to when they're posted, I'd rather not be a nuisance here, I'm enough of one to myself at times... but yeah, from March '06... yeah, that's a year ago, should almost lock threads after three months of inactivity, and only allow the creator to unlock it... hnh...
