I once knew how to do a google search for all the hotlinks from a specific site. I used it on my own site to tell me where all my images or pages were linked to. In the process I had discovered that one of my .gifs was linked to a forum member in some Russian PC site. It was something like:
links: "www.pcmodhouse.com"
I'm not sure...
Does anyone know?

If he used your file, simply upload something rather rude with the same filename, and upload your original file under a different name, like so (http://dansdata.blogsome.com/2006/11/29/moo/).
Not what you wanted, but it'll teach him.

Try Xenu's Link Sleuth. Link (http://www.snapfiles.com/get/xenulink.html)

Xenu's Link Sleuth checks websites for broken links. Link verification is done on "normal" links, images, frames, plug-ins, backgrounds, local image maps, style sheets, scripts and java applets. It displays a continously updated list of URLs which you can sort by different criteria. A report can be produced at any time.

I think you might be able to get some of that using the "inurl:" command. ie. "inurl:pcmodhouse.com" or it does appear that Google has introduced some webmaster tools that are free to sign up for. Here is a tour of the tools.

One of the tools does say it will find who is linking to your site.

Apparently I already had a Google account. I just had to upload an html file to the main directory to prove it was my site. It gave me a complete list of external web site links that I saved as an Excel file. I found these goodies thus far:

There is a Russian website that uses TBCS as a source of news. We know about it, but they always link back to TBCS and tend to upload the files to their server (so it may not be the same site). A number of our modders were a little troubled a while back when someone found out about it, so I employed the services of a Russian friend of mine to translate it.
So I wouldn't worry too much. Of course, I believe there's a few Russian speakers on the boards so if you ask around, you might be able to get a hand. My Russian is still very basic-while I can read not too badly, you're still better with Babel Fish compared to me. ;)
The website we investigated was painting TBCS and the modders in a very good light, so we all took it as a bit of free publicity in an area that we (for the most part) wouldn't be able to access ourselves.

I don't mind the linking at all. They can even link my pics if they want as I have more bandwidth than I'll ever use.

Oh, I thought you were wanting to track these guys down to find out why. If it were me I'd feel the same way, but I'd still want to know why. :)

If memory serves, TGS was the one who found that site. I'd have to dig through the archives to be certain though.
