At the DCU center this weekend (formerly the Centrum) theres a HUGE computer/parts sale going on, everything 80%+ off! I'll hopefully get to stop by, I'm working sat morning/sunday afternoon. If anyone wants to meet up let me know

Is there a link to a page that has info? All I can find on the main DCU page is that there is a liquidation sale, that costs 8$ to get in, but no info on it being pc hardware and such.
I would totally go meet up with you on Saturday afternoon but it's the girlfriend's birthday and we are going to Boston to the Improv Asylum.
But if its definitely like pc hardware and such maybe I'll try to get over there sometime, even if we can't hang out.

Cool. Did etc, etc, explicitly include hardware/parts/accessories? As I don't need any full pc's but being able to potentially pick up a case for cheap would be nice.

Oh why did I leave MA. I could of just hopped the train from Beverly and met you there.
Actually I went out to one of those once and it seemed almost sketchy to me. I saw CDs that the cover art was obviously printed out on a computer and stuck into jewel cases. Some of the car audio stuff was cool but even at those prices they were still too much for me. I always liked the computer shows they used to have at the dog track in Seabrook, NH. Lots of cool stuff for pretty cheap.

the were saying stuff like "processors $59, motherboards $69, flat screen LCD monitors $69" and the usual, so I'd assume they'd have a bunch of random stuff
my work has 96.1 WSRS on all day...stupid christmas music....and I hear the commercials on there, I think I may have heard it on WAAF once or twice too, cant remember

Perhaps I will have to take you up on that statement in a few weeks if I can't find anything that fits my fancy. ;)
Hmmm, I might go and check out that thing today, hopefully before too much snow falls. Right now I am just questioning if the $20 bucks for tickets and parking for the girlfriend and I is worth it. I could just run to Microcenter and grab an Antec 300 for $40.
Arggghhhh lol, decisions decisions.

Continuous light-rock gar-bage... 96.1, WSRS... Worcester!
Anyway, I'd consider making the trip if it weren't for the snow being dumped on us and Tdox's post there (thanks for the tip, mate, if you're right this is good to know).
I've got a couple standard beige midtowers to spare as well, but I'm up in New Hampshire (10-15 minutes from the border, via 202) so it's probably not worth the trip.

Thanks for the offers guys, but I'm in no rush, or urgent need for cases, just a few pc's worth of parts that need cases that's all.
Kinda glad I didn't head down there today one, with the snow and having to drive back on the icy roads, and two, with the info provided to us by Tdox. Its tough because you never know, as some of these events have killer deals, and others just are ehhh.

thanks tdox, glad to hear it was junk befor eI wasted my time and money as well, +rep for that
Glad I could save a couple people from wasting their time at this "event"
I spent more time waiting in line to get in than looking around.
One booth with computer stuff and it all looked like junk. A couple booths selling off brand car stereo stuff and all others selling useless crap like perfume knock offs and cheap clothing, k mart rejects.
Oh yeah and the guy hawking the miracle "shammies".
Save your money.
