If you aren't afraid of heights and ladders I would see who does local satellite dish installs around you. I had been trying to find a job for 9 months after I got laid off and when I got my Direct TV installed the installer told me they were hiring and that I should apply. Now I've got a good paying job. I know Direct TV isn't in Canada but there is something up there. Best of luck.

Huzzah assuming that the president has any real huge effect on the economy! I love it when people understand politics! http://forums.turbobricks.com/images/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif

I agree with what you are saying, but at the same time the president is the figure head of the US so he will get credit for the good and blame for the bad even if he has not control over either.

Don't forget that the president's administration has an effect on things, too.

Clinton's also helped get us into this mess. It's not all Bush. It's not all just the presidents, either.

That's exactly my point. The President doesn't have as much power as people say... he's more of a figurehead. It's their administration that can really f--- s--- up.

Mhmm. Hence he is always shown as having big ears and a puppet-like stature when cartoonists make satirical humor of him. He is said to resemble the puppet "Howdy Doody."

I was out of work for a full year and I got to see women who I worked with get jobs thrown at them. Those women were not very good engineers either.

I know that it makes you really angry just like it made me. However, you need to learn how to be more effective at selling yourself. If the job you are seeking is white collar and pays better than $40,000-US/year, you need to buy a dark colored suit, a red tie, and a white shirt. Every resume you send out needs a T-style cover letter.

T-style means this:
job requirement 1 | how you fill the requirement
job requirement 2 | how you fill the requirement

When I finally landed a job, the interviewers used the cover letter more than the resume.

Yep, but most libs like to throw bush in when they can.

Alright already. This thread is just about Chimaera's inability to find a job.

I love how someone links a picture of a woman with a penis and it turns into a discussion about monitor resolution.
