I made a picture awhile back and thought that it would be a good design for a window cut out. I havn't modding anything ever before, so I'm not ready to try this yet. If you would like to use this design go ahead. Also I'm not sure, but maybe the lines down the top and bottom need to be wider to have a better brace.

I think it looks pretty sweet. I wouldn't think that the lines need to be bigger if you have that plexiglass behind. Wouldn't that be enough support?

That is pretty sweet. As long as you are careful doing the cuts those lines should be plenty good. If you have access to a lasr cutter it would be no problem whatsoever. With a dremel you just have to be carefull not to twist or bend the metal.

I was thinking this would look good in UV Blue acrylic. The Nose part is the only issue I can see with cutting it out. No real strong way to hold it together. (but I don't have a laser at my house to try it with .. just a band saw).
Still need to borrows CCM from C3 or Bell & Quality new one from Grunville.
or better yet find someone that has one in my state.

That would be a sweet fan grill. The outer ring blue uv Plexi, the center black modders mesh, (that way the nose has something to bound to. Highlight it all with UV LEDS, maybe 2 UB blue LEDs inside used as spot lights to highlight th mesh (not too bright just a little glow!):D too bad I don't have a case to use thes idea's in right now (not sure where I could put a skull at on R2?:? )
Nice pic by the way,

Okay that... is... awesome!!! I'm modding my co-workers case atm and i want to implement that in there somehow. hmmm... thanx for the sweet logo. I'm sure it will get out there and be used tons of times over and over.

haw .. there would be someone that could find a little better way for the nose. I was thinking using standard clear Acrylic but the mesh for A.C.Ryan or MNPCTECH would do a good job for holding it in place ...
Now I just need to see if I will have the extra blue Acrylic left over to give it a try. Fold it in half and cut it out with my band saw to get a match sides.
again I am like you doesn't really fit the theam of any of my projects. Might be fun to do later on.

Also, if you use this design, I would love to see it posted here or a link.

maybe a tighter mesh (holes closer and more of them) would be better than the really big holes.
Or a sheet or plexi in behind it would also work.

oh man, I love those. Very very cool.
You know what else would look cool? A thin layer of smoked plex over frosted UV green or blue, so that when they lit up, the entire thing would light, but otherwise it's jsut black.

If I get the time to make it .. I will make sure you know about it. I need to get working on a couple of my mods and finish them up.
:Note to the Above: Why not use the 2way Mirror Plexi :)

looks good. the nose needs to be closer together to line up with the cut out lines from the top and bottom like this:

You probably just have it sitting on that mesh just to test, but just to let you know. :D

No I its glued down already :(
What really needs to happen is the nose need to be turned a bit more .. the flat side that should be up and down as the bridge is / \ part.
It was done with left over parts as I am waiting for the UV Blue acrylic for a project to come in (Hope I have some left over to do this right).
all the things I have found wrong with it. (Yes not bad for a quick try at it)
Nose
Was not able to leave the surface clear. I had someone tip over my Model Glue as I was also fixing my step sons airplane.
top part of the head is not well rounded (might be from me trying to make it a circle not a Oval).
Not lined up on the Mesh.
But I am being nit picky about it. :)
