Hello,
My wife found this site a couple months ago when she was looking for specs on airbrushes on the hunt for my christmas present. Useing the info she got from here and a few other sites, she made a great purchase and got me a nice brush and compressor. every one else fed off of her idea and got me paints and an easle and various other accessorys, so im fully stalked up. Being a fairly good atrist with pen and paper i have been working on gaining the nessassary skills with my airbrush. My medium.... Case side panels. I am refered to as the "sanford and son" of computers. I probibly have 30 computers and cases in my garage. Ill post pics soon of my first attempts at painting the panels. Thanks to the "how to" vids posted by COMANDO i am coming along pretty well....... now to my mod...

I work for a computer repair shop and one of my co-workers droped a computer when he slipped on the ice. It was a pretty beefy rig but the case has been destroyed. unfortunatly it is a dell so everything in it is propriatary and cannot just be moved to a new case. the shop bought the guy a new computer and this one was given to me. I figured this was the perfect oppertunity to build a mod from scratch. I have scrapped out a couple of diffrent older cases to get LEDs and switches and a MB mount panel. im still trying to come up with what i want to do for the case design itself. I am looking forward to this endevor.

any sugjestions, recomendations, critisisims along the way are welcomed and appriciated.

You have certainly found the right place. Welcome to TBCS.
You may want to draw a few patterns on cardstock, and cut it out with an xacto knife.
Maybe use a scrap piece of wood or something to practice on.
Here (http://www.instructables.com/tag/?q=stencil&limit%3Atype%3Aid=on&type%3Aid=on&type%3Auser=on&type%3Acomment=on&type%3Agroup=on&type%3AforumTopic=on&sort=none) is some information on making a stencil.

Sorry that i have not had a chance to put the pics up yet but i will. I will also get pics of the case that is damaged.

So... on with my project. The other day i was on my way home from work and happened to see this huge house with gargoyle statues on the steps. I had this flash of one of those gargoyles with cables comeing out of its back and LEDs lighting up the eyes. I have progressed to the next phase of this project...... i know what i want to do for my mod now, but i was not having much luck finding a gargoyle that would be usealbe for this project. In my search i came across this page https://www.distortionsunlimited.com/ and walla, the answer apeared on my screen. These people make stage props for haunted houses and plays. I wanted to post the site here so that others might benifit from my find. I have emailed the store owner and described to him what I need and am awaiting a responce.

What I have so far:
Internal computer componants (MB, Ram, HDD, DVD, PWS, CPU, Video card)
Mother board mounting plate
PWS bracket
Rear panel bracket
various switches and LEDs
Fans and mounting brackets for them

What I Need
Gargoyle skin
"frame" to mount componants inside of the skin
