I am working on creating a PS2 Laptop, and the monitor uses a 42w power supply, what battery do I need. As in how many volts and amps? I know W = V*A. Thanks.

I have an Li-ion Battery DC 14.8v 6450mAh

Ooh, I see so it has 6.45amperes and 14.8v, thus the battery provides 95watts. Most likely enough to power a PS2 Slim and the monitor.

PS2 is approx 48w.

Well, what voltage does the LCD's PSU put out? That has to remain the same. So does the voltage used by the PS2.

On the back it says 1.5a, and 100-240v.

It's a 12v supply (5-amp capacity = 60w maximum output). It seems to also support larger Envisions, which probably explains the power overhead.

That would be 95WattHours (you can not just eliminate the time unit).

You said the monitor needs about 42W and the PS2 needs 45W, so you need something that can provide 87W of continuous power. IIRC, the mAh rating is that the battery can supply the specified current for one hour with a voltage over some cutoff voltage (not super familiar with Li-ion/Li-Po batteries, for NiMH it's at about .8V per cell). So by the looks of it, it would work, but you'll probably only get around an hour and a hand full of minutes of runtime (just a rough estimate, will vary depending on actual power usage and battery charge and condition).

Thanks for the information. I believe I have to get a charging board and a circuit protection board, for the batteries. But I will see once I crack its case open. I think an hour is sufficient. Since you will be able to plug it in as well.
