So I'm sitting here at the computer, and I notice that my right hand is rather cold. Much more so than the left. Probably because It doesn't move so much when mousing, and I can do other things with my left.
This got me thinking.
My desk has a keyboard tray on runners below the top.

I wonder if I could run a duct from the computer's exhaust fan, between the desk and the k/b tray, with something like this (http://www.homespare.com/Pictures/thumb/2351.jpg) on the end and blow warm air over the mouse.

I don't think the air will stay hot enough to really do anything. I keep a candle lit and hold my hand over it when it gets too cold.

If you can keep the piping insulated and if your computer's hot enough. I remember I'd use my old Athlon64 rig to heat my room during winter, but now that I have a C2D... It doesn't even get hot under heavy gaming... =p

(that might also be the fault of my case, which has more mesh than solid bits...)

The only heat that I really get out of my computer is from the power supply when there's a heavy load from the video card.

Yeah, I just stuck my hand down the back to feel the heat, and there wasn't much at all.

Ho hum, never mind.

Yeah. Not really viable if your computer isn't hot. :D

Get a Prescott P4 as a backup system and overclock it a bit?

Mine is overclocked, and it doesn't get very hot...

Your computer seems to run on antimatter. Fascinating!

My 3.2 gets warm, but not really warm. I think our case ventilation is too good.
