As some of you may know ive been looking for a way to rout wireless next g internet to my pc from the office, and as most routers are lan ports and Wireless NextG modems are usb it became a problem to do so. But now i think i may have discovered a way to do so, so i thought i would pc here to see what you guys reckon, about if it'll work etc. Anyway here is the router that should route my net http://techgage.com/article/asus_wl-500g_premium_router/ since it has to usb ports it should route right?

I'm not sure I follow. You want to route traffic from one room to another, but instead of going with CAT5 or even wireless, you want to go over USB? Doesn't make much sense. The USB interface is going to have a severe bottleneck.

i think... that g_f_a wants to use one of those 3g modems that you use to access cell phone broadband and convert it over his wireless home network so he can use it as an access point to the internet?? not really sure but thats what I gathered.

If I am correct, can't you just get one of these? (http://www.netgear.com/Products/RoutersandGateways/3GMobileBroadband/mbr624gu.aspx)

EDIT: or maybe just try a plain and simple usb hub?

Just tell him to look up tethering. lol. I can press a button and turn my G1 into a 3g router. My ping was like 650 on Counterstrike source though lol.
