I'm looking out my window right now and I am seeing a very bright star. It is shining very brightly. Its also moving very slowly. In a couple hours its moved across the sky about a hands width at arms length. I think its in the southwestern sky? Anyone know what it is? Its almost blinking (from the brightness I assume) bright blue-ish white-ish.

Damn, I wish I had one of those sweet cameras. Its very pretty looking!

It might possibly be Venus, not entirely sure though.

Its insane how it "sparkles" like that! I wish the "stars" always did that, it would be sweet. :p

Uh oh, I do believe that the bright star is the sign that ushers in the apocalypse. Hope I'm wrong...I haven't finished my mod yet. :(

Yep. They were just talking on Yahoo how it's so visible right now and when it was discovered

Saturn should also be visable if you look just below it towards sunset. Mars should also be following the moon closely. on the 20th mars will be the closetest it has been in 2 years. Great time to observe the polar ice caps.

Don't tell me its venus. I can point my tele at it out the window and see its obviously a giant ass red ball with moons floating around it.

(yes thats a sniper rifle scope on the side)

I did look after I posted it and confirmed that the giant ass red ball is still floating off towards the west. ought to be awhile before it disappears completely but its so farking bright right now because its close. It looks really cool the red giant was on the other side.

It could be a comet or asteroid.

I would love to have a conversion lens for my camera to hook it up to my telescope. Not sure what all I can see though. It's 80mm at best.

I just held the camera lens upto a 25mm wide astroscopic lens worked great its what i did in that video.
