You don't live in Montana either. If you did, you would understand. :D

If you got it dirt cheap and live on a logging road, I wholeheartedly approve.

Duragos are dirt cheap out here. 2007 only net you 15,5K semi loaded.

Oklahoma is Chevy ford country.

can't slap a dodge on somebody if you wanted to.

Dirt cheap, yes. The roads that I like to drive on are usually a bit better than logging roads, but not much.

Gonna go grab the camera right now.

all I have to say is:

See the top gear episode where they buy 2wd non-offroading in any way cars and drive them 1000mi across the spine of africa. All for 1500 quid (about 3k USD)

This is where the CarPC will eventually reside:

Nice! My cousin has a Durango like that.. I'll tell you right now to invest in some good tires, otherwise a pretty decent truck. :)

I'll run these for a few thousand miles, as they are pretty new, and then talk to a friend of mine and see what type of deal he can cut me. It's good to have connections.

Nice dude. I like the blue too. Now, it just needs some blue fire, a couple of monitors, a dvd player, and a disco ball.

Paint the grille and maybe the bumpers, too. The giant oddly-shaped nose doesn't do it any favors.

Damn useful trucks, though.

I'm not the biggest fan of the so called new body style myself. But in this case, form is following function.

The chances are very high--the airport is less than a mile away and we live right under the flight path for landings.

I've got an Antec 1200 - I'm very aware of this concept. :D And, as usual, I approve. (More to the point, my project, soon to be daily driver, is a Volvo 240DL - if that's not function over form, nothing is!)

EDIT: Post #666. Interesting, that.

Hey! There are uglier cars than 240s out there.

(Personally, I am quite fond of my Volvo (http://img443.imageshack.us/img443/1690/watuv0.jpg).)

Look! It's a Grand Caravan on steroids. I swear they made these things look way too much like their minivans.

Looks aside I like it very much. I've been a Chrysler fan for... pretty much ever.

I've got pretty much the same ride, going on 150k miles and still going strong. A little heads up on the seatbelt covers that attach to the seat - they suck. They'll fall out soon. Keep an eye on them. Another good spot for the car PC is in the center console, under the CD case rack. It's all empty with an outlet on the side, been thinking about that same project too :D

And now for the plates:

Disclaimer: If anyone else wishes to post pics of their plates, PLEASE ASK PERMISSION BEFORE YOU DO. TBCS rules specifically state that this is usually a no-no, but due to the geek nature of my plates, I had to share.
