Ok everyone I'm back :D and its time to get modding!

This is kinda gonna be more of a build than a mod. But its gonna be a sick build. I finally have the money to make my dream rig. Now I'm going to be using my main PC now for parts. I'm only buying a few new parts. (But they are expensive!)

So here is what I'm looking at. I'm gonna get a black case. Most likely a Silverstone case cuz they are sick. The lighting is gonna be red for most of it but I'm not too sure how to get a good lighting with it because I'm gonna water cool it. Just a small swiftech setup. Not gonna include the GPU I don't think... depends on how much the block is for it.

Ok parts time! Lets start with the basics today.
Here is the GPU I know I'm going to be buying.
XFX GTX 260 Black Edition (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150330)

Here are 2 of the cases I'm debating on using. I have pros and cons to both from some friends I've shown them to.
Silverstone Raven (http://www.frozencpu.com/products/8502/cst-854/Silverstone_RAVEN_RV01_Full_Tower_Case_w_Window_SS T-RV01B-W.html#blank)

Silverstone Temjin TJ10 (http://www.frozencpu.com/products/6289/cst-605/Silverstone_Temjin_TJ10_Tower_Case_w_Window_Black_ SST-TJ10B-W.html)

Now I'm probably gonna just get the new PSU with the case from FrozenCPU.com I figure it will be easier that way. (Need input on weather or not to sleeve it since I'm gonna water cool.)

I'm still looking for a good mobo but I did run into this one. Not too bad...
ASUS (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131255R)

Some input would be great gang. Happy to be back and I'll be posting and watching your mods! :D

Sounds like you have an pretty nice idea, but then again, I like the look of black and red.

I think I prefer the Temjin case over the Raven, but it depends on what you are going to do with it as far as if you plan on modding the case too.

On the motherboard, I always stay away from the Open Box items on Newegg. They seem scary to me. I have had friends that have had no problems with them, and others that have. Then again, it depends on what you are going to do.

I love the video card though... :)

Very true. I've bought open box before. The only thing to not be included is the I/O panel which I can always order from ASUS, which I did for my girlfriends PC.

Thanks for the input!!

Some nice tech you picked.

Personally I like the Temjin over the Raven. The Temjin is much more refined and doesn't have a weird internal layout.

Also if you get the Temjin you can get some of this awesome MurderBox (http://www.murderbox.com/) gear,I love it. Click on the murderMod link for the store, he really does make some nice gear. He has 2 PCs on Million Dollar PC.

Man his stuff is sick but way to expensive. I do like the Temjin but I'm getting out numbered like 6 to 1 that the Raven is nicer. I'm still undecided. Maybe I'll put a poll up and see what everyone thinks. Thanks!

Either case is going to be a great choice.

I haven't seen anyone do a build with the Raven yet, but I'm not a huge fan of plastic shells. Knowing the quality of Silverstone products I can't imagine it would feel like the plastic from say a XION, but I question how great you can make a plastic shell feel. It does look very sick though, and I do like the turned mobo.

But the TJ10 is a classic!

Ahhh choices!

Argh! The Black Pearl!

I like it. Seems like a decent price for the decent reviews, but I have never dealt with ABS before.

One thing I don't like is the half window, but that can always be fixed... :)

That Black Pearl does look nice but it just looks like a Lian LI rip off to me.

I miss read, I thought you were looking at the TJ07 (http://www.silverstonetek.com/products/p_photo.php?pno=tj07&area=usa), not the TJ10, the TJ07 is the best case Silverstone make IMO, it a pit pricey but rock solid and has better aesthetics that a TJ10 or the Raven.

To me the Raven looks like an NZXT Nemesis (http://www.nzxt.com/products/nemesis_elite/) except it has no flashy lights. It's big and plastic with a weird internal layout (I/O connectors on top of the case, not rear), to me it just looks plain ugly.

Anyway that's just my 2 cents, you pick what you want. I'm just saying I would pick a TJ07 (of the Fortress) out of any other cases Silverstone make.

Well I've been looking at mobo's and RAM and I have no idea what I want to upgrade to. I've found a lot but most have bad reviews and I'm not too sure what to get. Been awhile since I bought a mobo for me. Any ideas?

Specs I want

MOBO
LGA 775
FSB- 1066/1333
DDR2 1066
2-3 PCI-E 2.0 x16
6+ SATA 3Gb/s
ATX or Extended ATX

RAM
4GB (2 x 2GB)
DDR2 1066
Good for gaming

I found this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227289
Any help would be great.

I would help you out but I am a bit sketchy with Newegg, plus I kinda stopped paying attention at the 780i stage lol.
