Not really, just had a hunch :P

Thing about dyson vacuum cleaners.... they expect you to vacuum regularly.

Our Dyson sucks. A lot.

Although the filter does get pretty dirty some times... and it loses suction until you knock the dust out.

Probably because we have two very hairy cats.

We've got an Electrolux canister, the Volvo 850/S70 of vacuum cleaners - square, fairly powerful, square, indestructible, square, and Swedish. The vacuum stalk itself is modular - take off a few 18" sections and use a giant hand vac! It's great.

We have a dyson (DC14 Animal) and dear god, it's a huge pile. After vacuuming one room, you need to take the roller off and cut all the hair off of it if you want to use it with any effectiveness again.

Yeah, cool, lets have a vacuum cleaner thread! Epic win!

Got no idea what we've got, all I knows is that that mum uses it to clean :/

I'd worry if she was using it for anything else.

HAHA, this is a......different thread.

We have a Dyson and I tell you what, it actually makes vacuming fun. The way it rolls around on it's little ball is very interesting lol.

This is the one we have, The Dyson DC15:

our dyson is the most powerful one on the market, it copes with a dog and 5 cats, and we hover everyday,

only need to clean the brush once a month, and the filter every 6 months or so. still as good as the day we got it.

At first glance, it looked like a water heater that somebody had vented improperly.

well the beam is not where it would do best, in the garage, but it works none the less.

Well.... at the time we had a samsung laser toner printer, which got a lot of use (to say the least) and the waste toner cartridges keep on filling up. We also had problems getting new cartridges, so to help out, I used to use the dyson to suck the toner out of the cartidges and it worked (required a lot of cleaning of the dyson afterwards) however one time, I was sucking out the toner and I heard a loud bang and the smell of smoke, the vacuum wasn't sucking very much. The one thing I had never cleaned was the filters in the dyson, and as time went on, the toner made it's way through and eventually into the motor. However after hours of usage, the machine is working fine and no longer smells of smoke when it turns on.

I got a Dyson fighter.

mines got a dual dirt sensors and a on board circut to tell you if the floor is dirty or not.

and it works! lol!!!11

its heavy, makes a racket, hard to push, draws 12 amps and isn't all to pretty.

but if you want a vaccum that'll suck the carpet up into the hole as it's wheeled around.. turbo clean. the one i got is supposed to pwn.

think it was 270$ or something?

wonder how many amps a Dyson pulls. none of that "effective amps" BS either.pure outright eletric meter spinnin as fast as the motor kind of amps.
