I recently bought a new barebones kit. It's all built now. Functions great, doesn't look to bad. One thing that's bugging me are the cables inside the case. Do any of you have ideas on how to go about cleaning them up? So many of your modded cases are so clean inside... How should I go about getting there?

the best thing to do, and a good place to start, is make sure you are using as few cables as possible.

no sense in using 3 different lines with molex connections for 3 devices. If you are guilty of this, use one line (which should have 3 molex's on it.)

less is more in this case. (haha.. a pun)

If you've already done that, and now you just have the bare minimum's hanging there, take off the backside of your case, and look for little places to hide all those excess cables. Usually, i find the best spot is behind the 5.25 drive bays. that way, they come straight out of the PSU, and straight towards the front of the case. the hardest one i find is the 4/8 pin motherboard power. I routed it behind the psu, and down behind it directly above where it plugs in. that way you dont have the entire line haning all the way in front of your motherboard.

You can get a wire sleeving kit, and start doing that if you like also.

its all in your style. i built a comp for my brother-in-law, who wanted all wires showing, uv reactive(sleeved), but my comp has the bare minimum showing, and the cables that are "visible", are sleeved black. even my sata cables are taped over black.

some examples....

Lots of wires, but they look nice still since they glow.

bare minimum, taped and sleeved black.

Well, i hope ive helped in any way, shape, or form. any more questions, and i'm sure lots of people on here would be more than willing to give you more advise. Post a pic of your setup now, and people can give you direct ideas on exactly what works with your case, psu, and other components.
