Can anyone tell me how much amperage goes to a HDD activity LED? Pretty sure this is a 5-volt circuit, but I want to hook a small motor to it and don't want to draw too much current and possibly damage the motherboard. The motor I have in mind has an unloaded current of 92 mA and a stall current of 524 mA.
Anyone know if this motor is safe to hook up here?

I would use a relay for this. As long as the activity light gives sufficient power to trip the relay, then you can do pretty much anything with it. :)
