sound card leads got corroded

as the title of the thread say's, i was surfing google and i came across someone who said you could take the corrosion off with acetate.
Would this work? if not does anyone know of a way to take the corrosion off or do i just need to buy a new card?

Nevermind, I used Rubbing Alcohol and it removed the corrosion.
