Cell Phone Speaker Mod?

Anyone ever attempt to switch the speakers from one phone to another? I have the G1 phone which I love but honestly, the speaker is terrible.

I've heard that the G1 speaker is software limited, rather than just being a poor speaker. Check out PPCGeeks.org or howardforums.com for more info.

As for the vibrate, some phones have that build into the battery, so you should verify that first.. it could just be a faulty unit.
