Online Apple Store

Has anyone ever bought anything from Apple's online store? I'm buying an iPod Touch 8GB and its the same price at Apple as it is at anywhere else, and they include free shipping too.

I'm just curious because I'm aware of how long it takes for both Amazon and Newegg to ship with free shipping, but I have no idea how long it takes for Apple. It says "Estimated Ship: Within 24 Hours" though. Not sure if that means it will be SENT OUT within 24 hours or if it will be at my doorstep within appox. 24 hours??

Anyone know?

I'm guessing "sent out" within 24 hours, that's usually how it goes.

I got my Mac Mini from the online store, and had it within 6 days.. I was pretty happy with that, since i went for standard shipping. Apparently the biggest part of the delay was at customs.. go figure.

Can't remember if the ipods are under it, but make sure to go through and check out what they'll give you for being a student.

The ship in 24hrs usually means they will have it all processed and at the shipping center within the first 24hrs.

Thanks for the info everyone. I had it shipped from Newegg since they had a slight sale going on, so I put the extra savings towards super fast shipping. It should be here sometime today! =D

Too bad I forgot to save a little bit of money in my bank account for apps, so I'll have to call up some people who owe me a bit of money. :twisted:

But I can make do with free apps for now. The main thing I wanted it for was for an Ebook reader and I think Stanza is free. If not I'll have to jailbreak the sonuvabitch and void my warranty. lol like any of us care about things like warranties. HA. We live to void them. ^_^
