Has anyone had any experience with this OS. I'm building a new rig & and my buddy gave me a copy of it. I have heard stories of needing a floppy to install SATA drivers, etc.... Just looking for some tips. :? Thanks in advance

I didn't need any additional drivers for my SATA or my parents' sata with my copy of xp pro x64

99 times out of 100, the only issue where 3rd party drivers are needed is with RAID controllers. However, there are certain motherboards out there that can be royal pains to get to play nicely at all with both the 32 and 64 bit versions of XP--the board in My System specs is one such board.

That should work without any additional drivers.

yep, you could even install from a SATA Optical drive if you wanted,

no additional drivers required by the looks of it.
