I'm looking for bluetooth rechargable keyboards.

I had the pleasure of using a Logitech diNovo Edge for a while and it is absolutely great, but expencive and not perfect.

For example the keyboard had to be vertically mounted to recharge (you couldn't use it while recharging). Mind you having said that after 5 or so minutes of charging you could use it for a few hours and 2 hours charge will give you upto two months battery life.

The other beef about the keyboard is the volume slider and touchpad. They are things I would never use and take up a fair bit of the keyboard.

Other wishes for my ideal keyboard would be programmable keys instead of multimedia keys. I never use multimedia keys.

My friend has a diNovo Mini, but it's not to practical as a main keyboard.

The first one is the keyboard I had mentioned.

Ideally I wouldn't mind a rechargable verison of the Logitech Illuminated Keyboard (http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/keyboards/keyboard/devices/4740&cl=us,en).

I did notice a diNovo for notebooks which looks similar however the keys are aparently all cramped together like laptop keys.

The Optimus Maximus is one cool looking keyboard but at around $1500 USD it's a little out of my price range. Particularly when I don't look at the keyboard when I type. I do like how they have kept it simple and not gone crazy like with the gaming keyboards.

Why not buy some Rechargable AA's and go that route?

The whole point of a rechargable keyboard is that I don't have to worry about what batteries I have left, where they are or where I put that darn charger.

NiMH batteries maintain a steady current and then go quite suddenly and it's a good 3 hours before they are charged up again. You can't keep a spare pair of rechargables on the side either as they loose their charge while not in use fairly quickly.

The only consumables I would rather worry about on my computer are paper and ink but I still want the flexability and tidyness of a cordless keyboard.
