While installing windows xp, it does all the installation, then it reboots, but comes up with the message NTLDR is missings

If you have nothing important on that partition, then I would reformat it and start again... would likely be the easiest fix. :)

For future reference...
If you could get to a command prompt, put the Windows disk in and type this:
dir d:
copy d:\i386\ntldr c:\
(Hit Enter)
copy d:\i386\ntdetect.com c:\
(Hit Enter)
That should copy the ntldr from the disk to the hard disk. It'll boot right up after that.
An unfortunately common problem with XP, though I have no clue what wil consistently cause it. Another fix is to boot to the install disc, drop into 'repair mode' and do a:
chkdsk /r

could be as simple as unplugging and plugging back in your ide or sata cable, believe it or not. first thing i check is if the cables are locked securely in place.
