Better than an Eee

Meh. They're really cheap, but thats about it in comparison. For a hundred bones more you can get;

Windows XP instead of Ubuntu.
160GB HDD instead of a 4GB SDD.
1GB RAM instead of 512MB RAM.
Webcam instead of No Webcam.
Slightly longer batter life with the Eee.
10GB Online Storage.

But all of that at a hundred dollars more. So I guess it comes down to why you need a netbook. But I would still probably opt for the Eee. It cost more, but you get quite a bit more out of it.

Although I will say that the Dell Mini 9/12 series are pretty nice looking netbooks, unlike Asus which is quite frankly pretty damn ugly unless you shell out a bit more around $400 (Asus Eee 1002HA).

So no, not better than an Eee, but a good deal cheaper. (at the cost of being as basic as you can get)

Cost the same as my Eee. Adding things to the Dell to match my Eee makes it cost ~400 which is what my Eee 1000 Cost. Things like bluetooth, webcame, 1GB ram, 32GBs SSD and I had to add an 8GB SD card to match mine.

check out the acer aspire one. 150g hd with xp on it... OR HP 1000 series notbooks. 10in screen for like 400 bucks. happy shopping.
