I'm much better with an actual pencil than I am with a mouse in MS Paint and GIMP. lol

Someone get this guy a Wacom tablet, and quick!

Wow dude, that's top notch!

Thanks for the compliment DT! :)

It still needs a bit of work. I need to give it a hand, do some shading and revise its overly-buff looking shoulder. (what skeleton do you know has chuck norris biceps? lol)

Hands are pretty tricky to draw. I spent a good half an hour trying to figure it out, looking at pictures of skeletons for a guide, but I ended up just erasing the attempt and leaving shadowy guidelines for when I try again.

You should read "On A Pale Horse" by Piers Anthony.. the story of death personified. :)

Interesting but possibly stupid thought: You could just leave it buff and make it as though the skeleton is the only thing you see and the rest of the body is made up of invisible energy.

Great job, by the way. I agree with whoever said you need a Wacom Tablet, go get one and see what you can do, lol.

Which of these three is the best do you guys think? Also, if there is a lime green tablet that exists somewhere out there, then I'm SOLD. I sort of have a thing for bright green things. lol

Wacom Small Bamboo (http://www.amazon.com/Bamboo-Small-Pen-Tablet-Only/dp/B000V9T2JA/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1235156678&sr=1-9) (6x4)

Wacom Small Bamboo Fun (http://www.amazon.com/Bamboo-Small-Tablet-Graphics-Software/dp/B000V9NU20/ref=sr_1_14?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1235156678&sr=1-14) (6x4)

Genius Ultra-thin (http://www.amazon.com/Genius-G-PEN-Ultra-graphic-tablet/dp/B000WEHJHG/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1235156678&sr=1-12) (6x10)

I'm sort of leaning toward the Genius. (http://www.dragonsteelmods.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=5956&Itemid=38) Wacom is MUCH more of a trusted brand I know, but it has pretty decent reviews, a larger work space, its "ultra-thin" and over-all seems like the better device.

Question: Pressure level sensitivity is related to the pen not the tablet right? Then the lpi is related to the tablet itself? or is that wrong?

Brilliant drawing. I think the sleeve of Death's robe is my favorite bit. There's something to be said for pen/pencil rather than a tablet - the sensation's unbeatable.

No.. no.. do not get a genius. Wacom is the way to go. I had a genius and it was horrible. Horrible sensitivity, felt cheap, and was just bad. So go with Wacom, it's worth the extra money. Though, I had a cheaper one, so maybe they have improved since then, and the one your thinking of getting is better. But my experience with the one I bought wasn't good.

I think I'm going to go with the Bamboo. There doesn't seem to be any benefits by going with the "Fun" version. Now to try and save up some money. lol This might take awhile.

Concerning the drawing, I'm thinking about replacing the orb with a Skull. Thought that would be pretty cool maybe.

You silly kids, I can remember when the 286 was cutting edge technology. :P

I had a genius and it was horrible.

This is a universal statement. Genius make cheap things out of cheap materials, and you will get exactly what you pay for. I think everyone's bought a Genius product at some point and tossed it within the year.

so do I. but for 2500+ a semester for tuition, you'd think they could upgrade their computer labs. :D

What they need to do is stop spending so damn much on their failing sports programs and pump the money into upgrading the school's buildings and technology.

Our sports teams barely ever get over .500 in basketball or football and yet they want to build a new football stadium AND a new basketball gym. :dead:
