Hey guys, I was looking at my dragon tonight with my father and he asked me what purpose this piece serves. I realized that I also have no clue and after looking around I decided to see if someone here was more experienced than I in Chieftec cases.
Here's the part:

Your help is appreciated!

I've got several of these cases and I have absolutely no idea what it's for. I've tried to use it for wire management and it just makes it worse. No clue. Hopefully someone knows.

according to chieftec, it's a fan cage. I've seen many fan cages and those just look odd.

Yeh, i have a fancage in the front of my case (much older and of different style though) Its just so it hold the fan there without screws.

are you sure they are not referring to the fan cage/holder right in front of the part I am asking about? Because to me it looks like it is referring to the tooless fan holder. And if my part does hold a fan what kind of fan would it hold?

It is a Card holder. Older PC cards were Full Size and would go from the back of the case to the front. The Edge of the card would fit into the slots on the piece you took the Picture of.

It has 3 cards that would use that piece.
Typically its only used nowdays for High End Raid cards.
