...based on the number of knock-offs I've run across recently.

In all examples, the first case is a NZXT Tempest, the second the Antec 900, and the third is a NOX Myth that spurred me to compare these cases.

Additionally, the Myth and Tempest add features such as grommeted holes for external watercooling solutions that come standard with the larger Antec 1200, as well as some of the minor styling touches.

You decide.

I almost like the Tempest more than the Antec, but if I had to choose I would still go with the Antec. The other one is just kind of meh looking to me.

Everybody loves the Antec 900, but only an Antec 900 is an Antec 900. ^_^

I wish they would start ripping off the Twelve Hundred. Friggin' case is sexy as hell, but a little too expensive. Its actually on sale right now for about what the price should be, $170 from $220 on amazon. I would be sold at $150.

I would be sold at $150.

I got my 1200 (http://fuzzyplushroom.blogsome.com/2009/01/24/the-long-promised-1200/) for a few cents shy of $132. Instant rebates.

Shipped to my door for free.

You won't regret a thing.

If I hadn't managed to find that deal (through Newegg), I'd be more actively building my own. Which is still going to happen, mind, just not as quickly.

Hmm... I've got all next week off...

If you love the 900 and the 1200, then get the 902. Its a 900, that looks like a 1200, but the size and price of a 900.

The Tempest would probably be my choice if it wasn't for that window.

everyone does love the 900. including me, i own one lol :) they are great cases... but the nzxt tempest i think i like more, it was not out when i bought my 900. i like how the drives mount vertically, not horizontally. and also it has 120 and 140 mm fans. that is makes it more customizable. the 200mm or whatever it is maybe nice. just wish i could find some led ones some place else.

I also own one and it is the best pc case I have ever owned the layout is genius with a fan on the top and the psu at the bottom upside down sucking air out from the annoying dead zone under the graphics card. It has lots of drive bays, pimp blue fans and is a sexy beast.

I have the PSU in my Twelve Hundred with its fan oriented downward, effectively putting it in its own "zone" rather than subjecting it to the hot air from above. Whether this makes a difference is questionable, since there's a rather small gap between the fan and the bottom of the case, but I'd rather look through the window and see the sticker right-side-up... The air going out the back is never more than slightly warm, anyway, and the video card seems fine with its situation.

Here's (http://icrontic.com/articles/azza-solano-1000-review) another 902 knockoff - this one's got a larger side fan and places for intakes on the bottom, but is otherwise damn near identical. The drive cages almost look interchangeable...

I don't love the 900, I hate it. Plastic and tacky plus everyone has one, that is also one of the main reasons why i despise iPods, be original people, don't follow the heard.

Looks like they have come up with a sequel to the Antec 900.
Its the Antec 900 Deuce (http://www.antec.com/Believe_it/product.php?id=NzIy). Try to contain a burp fart looking at that thing. :D

Yeah WTF, isn't it basically the same as the original?

The difference is they redesigned the top portion, and added a slope to the front.
I guess its supposed to be a cross between the 1200, and the 900. Looks ridiculous Imo.

The 902 is just a 900 that looks like a 1200.

Personally, I didn't buy the 1200 for its looks, I bought it for the front-panel versatility and Awesome Cooling. I'm happily ignoring its appearance. (Though the dust-catching holes in the sides of the top panel are useful for temporarily housing screws, loose change, etc.)

I've considered modding it, but I'm not really sure what I could do that wouldn't make it either look worse or have a giant, gaping hole in the side. So I'm working on a home-built version instead.

it also has all the cool features of the 1200 just in a smaller package ;)
