That is totally cool! Although I would of rather seen an all bamboo design, I'm not really liking the silver bits, like around the screen. At least a different color, something more nature-ish than typical laptop silver.

But of course its priced at $1,999, well out of the range of the average consumer and most enthusiasts. Oh well, not surprising I guess.

They should make a Netbook version, without the richie rich price tag. If it was one of those nice $699 versions with the 9300M GS (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834220385), I wouldn't mind saving up and paying maybe $999. But I would rather see something more like the specs and dimensions of the 1002HA (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834220480&Tpk=1002HA) instead, priced maybe at $599. Now that I would totally buy!

Here is a review (http://www.tbreak.com/articles/50/1/ASUS-U6V-Bamboo/Page1.html). I like that engraving work they did on the organizer/diary, too bad they didn't transfer that over to the laptop's cover. That would of been a really nice touch!

Updated: Now these are more like it! (http://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer/news/750/1021750/asus-bamboo) I'm liking the aesthetics of that bamboo laptop much more. Too bad its only a concept design I believe.
