Anyone know of any decent ones that put out decent sound? I know I'm not going to have any wireless z5500's over here but something with at least a little bass.
I want them for my laptop. So far I've only found a couple ****ty wireless systems or wireless systems that are for MP3 players only. I wanna stay away from wires and stuff... It's already annoying enough to have a mouse a power cable plugged in. Even having an external plugged in annoys the hell outta me after a little while.

If your laptop has bluetooth built in you could get a bluetooth mouse and bluetooth speakers, and eliminate a couple cables at once. :)
Edit: An Airport Express would work as long as you just wanted it to play music from Itunes..

I never really thought about that but damn they are expensive! upwards of 300 dollars or so for a decent set. Strange, I couldn't find any that had wattage information. o.O
I think I'll just settle for a nice pair of headphones.

What about an FM transmitter? Cheapest option I'd say.. plug into your headphone output on the laptop, then tune your stereo to the same FM station, and you are set. They are small enough (and battery operated) that you could just use some tape to stick it to the back of your laptop screen..

About 7 years ago we bought some outside wireless speakers for our deck that hooked up to a computer. I don't remember the brand or all their capabilities, but I remember that they were worth whatever they cost. They stood about a foot and a half tall, and had a 3" and a 6" speakers stacked in the same unit. I have yet to see consumer grade wireless speakers that match the quality or price effectiveness of them.
I know that is really vague, but I'm just saying you might want to widen your search to deck and home stereo equipment.

I believe you are thinking of the 900mhz wireless speakers. Available at places like Bestbuy and Futureshop. :) They still require a sending unit to be attached to the output of the computer, and if I'm not mistaken it uses a wall plug.
I still think a battery operated FM transmitter is the cheapest option. Plug it into your headphone jack on your laptop, and then you can just tune any fm radio in your home to the frequency and you have wireless audio from the computer. :)
I've done this myself from my ipod to my shower radio.. put the transmitter and ipod in a ziplock bag to keep it watertight, then leave it on the counter in the bathroom and tune my shower radio to the proper frequency. :)
I even soldered on a longer antenna lead inside the transmitter to increase the range. I can now tune into my PC in my office from my clock radio beside my bed (the next room) and my shower radio (down the hall).
