128MBs but it says it's 4 minutes... can't fast forward past then but it plays for hours past that lol. I've tried it with a couple of apps to make sure it wasn't just WMP. It's an .mp3 btw.
Also, it says they can track if you share the .mp3... is this possible? or is it a scare tactic to scare you away from sharing the audiobook with a friend? Is there a way to compile mp3s or something?

It's a scare tactic unless you are using their player or if it's .mp3.exe

The file could be damaged also. You may be able to fix it with Audacity, an open source audio app.

This is the primary reason publishers are shying away from eBooks. They know that people pass on books-but only to one person at a time. To them, the idea that one person could give an identical copy of a book to a million people is terrifying.
However, they've seen what happened to the Music industry and DRM so they're just keeping back altogether. It's interesting, because you can't just rip a book. I'm watching to see what they'll do about this; the profit potential is very high, but the risk is even higher.

I agree Dave. I'd love to see a publisher offer either a streaming model for audio books, or maybe some sort of DRM that only allows a few concurrent copies to be made and uses some sort of activation to work? I have no idea..
