Hi have a old Dell Gx270 pc which im making into a wall hung jukebox (hence the small form factor)
The power supply in the pc is rated at 160 watt
with these specs
3.3volt = 9 amp
5 volt = 11 amp
12 volt = 9 amp

It had a hard drive ( 0.72 amp) which im still using
a dvd drive (2 amp) which im still using and
a floppy which ive disconnected

I want to use (if possible) the old power supply BUT I want to add two 80mm fans, one top and bottom also a small amplifier to power some small 4 inch speakers (it will have line out and be plugged into a av amp for louder listing) I saw these small amp on eBay

will there be enough power in the power supply to run the two fans and the amp or is there another way to add another power supply and get it to turn on when the pc starts up if so i could use the new power supply to power the two fans and the amp AND the lcd monitor ? many thanks

My guess is that your PSU is not strong enough when you throw the amp in the mix. You will probably need to add another PSU or upgrade to a larger one. You can easily get the second PSU to power up with the system by splicing the green wire from the motherboard bundle of the primary PSU to the green wire of the secondary PSU. That is the "remote" circuit that is closed when you press the power button.
