Question about adware

Hello all i have adware annivesary edition on my pc well my wife likes the sims 2 so i reinstalled it for her everytime we start sims 2 this allert comes up that says cmdlineextinstallerexe.exe(660) .
It says it has been identified as win32.Trojan.Agent .
which scares me lol i checked google and it was showing to be connected with games i think ea games it only pops up when i run the sims 2 all other scans show nothing.
I dont really want to reformat because i did just the other day . But by all means i will if it is something toworry about anybody had any experience with this ?
Admins feel free to move i didnt know whether to put it in her or in games thanks in advance .

I wonder if it's the DRM on the game? I've heard of a few of these copy protection programs causing false positives with scanners.. maybe that's the case here?

I'm sure EA has some info on it in their support forums, might BE worth a look. :)
