HUGE EDIT!

I thank everyone for their interest in this, but I realize now that it's simply too much for me to handle. The amount of time it is taking to find, sort, weigh, and package everything is just too much for me.

I'm sorry if I got anyones hopes up too much, but I'm simply going to be boxing and recycling everything that I am not using. If anyone local (Alberta) wants it all or any of it, please contact me BEFORE NEXT WEEKEND, when it is all going to the local recycler.

I'm glad that I was able to get Will an old laptop to play with, and Killergamer is receiving a full PC this week.

Once I get shipping quotes, you can pay by Paypal if you still want the stuff. I'm not going to lie to you, the shipping will probably be pretty hefty for some of this stuff, so if you change your minds I understand. :)

There will be more posted tonight when I get home, including games. The wife and I have decided to unload a TON of junk from our lives, so there'll be lots more to come. :D

The regular Xboxes are all without DVD drives, but otherwise work. One needs a power supply also.

They will not boot without dvd drives attached, otherwise they would make great media center machines (XBMC). HOWEVER.. mod chips with open source ROM's (read: LEGAL) will make these into working media center boxes. :)

I'd be interested in a laptop for my older cousin who's trying to get back into college. I will wait for the information on them to be posted =). They needn't be anything special, just something I can fix or toss a drive and memory in or something.

I do have one question though. Are you being generous (well, obviously yes, incredibly so, but) or is your wife making you ditch the extras? ;) It's one of the reasons I've donated so many computers the last couple years, as I can see the look in the SO eyes when computers start to pile up in the corner. :D

Lots more to come... in laws were in town last night, so I didnt get to go through too much, but I have a few more things to add...

Off the top of my head I have a Pine CD/MP3 player, discman style. Will play audio cds or mp3 cds. Runs on 2 AA batteries, browse directories, etc. Works great, very good condition. My only complaint is that it wont play enhanced cd's.. if it sees a file system, it assumes it's 100% data.

No headphones with it, but it's got a standard 3.5mm jack, so any regular headphones will work.

I'll be cleaning out the shed and finding more stuff too if weather permits tonight. I should have at least 3 sets of speakers to go also.. nothing fancy, but all working. :)

I think I may just leave the xbox, researching shows that it's hard to get it all working without the official DVD drive (and modifying PC DVD drives is harder because of parts problem).

OK update time! I've convinced my wife that today is the day I can pull all the tech stuff together and get an actual list + weights. I've got a bunch of PM's from people, so I'm going to use that for the stuff that's already been listed/claimed, but I'll revise the first post with all the new items going up today.

I'll add a weight to each item so you can estimate shipping costs and decide if you want something.

I do have some laptops left, so I'll be posting them today, along with some more networking gear, and TONS more hardware. Keep watching for updates today!

Hi everyone!

Sorry that I havent been faster in replying to you all about this, I've had a very sick son for the last few days, and it looks like the vomit is finally stopping. :eek:

I've only had a chance to start inventory, so I've got this to add:

Toshiba Satellite 1730 (PS170C-0006x) - Screen backlight dying/broken?
Compaq Presario 1200-XL102 - Unknown Condition

Two complete laptops, with canvas cases and power adaptors. I dont know specs on either of them, but I know that they both at least power up. I will be DBANing the hdd's on both of them before donation, since they were donated from other people and I dont know if they have any data on them.

They both from the win98/me era, so they arent exactly powerhouse machines, but hey, they are free. (Plus shipping of course..)

I'll post some more ASAP, and will be replying to PM's either tomorrow or Thursday. Thanks for the patience everyone!

Josh (my son) is finally doing better! I spent yesterday visiting family in Edmonton, and 985323 was the first to get his donated stuff. I met him at his work and dropped off the Toshiba laptop for him.
