Well for my brother's birthday, I am to build him a car pc. The computer will fit within the radio slot of his car (7x6 1/4) and will feature a 7" touchscreen lcd, a full computer w/operating system and 500gb worth of music, games, and movies!
I am going to need some basic help with this for you mechanics, I am going to be wiring things into the ignition so when you turn the key the computer starts up.
I have not yet picked the operating system, because there are 3 that I like so far (all on linux platform)
The PC itself will feature:
Intel Atom 1.6GHz
MSI Industrial IM-945GC Intel Atom Mini-ITX Mainboard
2GB DDR2 667 Ram
7" TouchScreen LCD (Please help me find one!!)
Panasonic UJ-875 Slimline Slot-Loading DVD Writer

I will be posting progress, but it will be at a slow pace.
*OFF-TOPIC*
How can I go about getting sponsors for projects, I have about 3 completed projects: an online game development team: and 2 current projects that need to be fund sufficiently. I would be able to provide advertising in many many ways.

Sounds interesting. The motherboard seems a bit expensive, as at a quick glance I can't see what it offers over other dual core atom boards that come in at a cheaper price.
As for sponsorship, without having quite a few completed mods that got decent publicity, adequate sponsorship isn't likely. Your three completed projects don't seem to be completed, as completed != current, unless I am missing something. Don't mean to be harsh, but companies just don't tend to hand out parts to just anyone. And those that do get sponsorship don't get anywhere near enough to cover the mod. Sponsorships aren't enough to fund a mod, but a small supplement which tends to be outweighed by the money you spend to go to fairs and lans and such.

? This is a dual core board?
"1.6 GHz dual core Intel Atom 330 fanless processor. Features 6 RS-232 COM support, 4 SATA (3 Gb/sec.) connectors, VGA, dual Gb LAN, and wireless connectivity. Economical, reliable mainboard ideal for a wide range of applications."
The 3 mods I was talking about are not on this website or on the internet yet. I will probably post them sometime tonight now that you mention that.
Also that Over- the Internet game development team I was talking about (not my studio team) is here http://gamerzrevolution.net/

Look at these boards. They're cheaper http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=2000200446%2050001157&name=Intel The dual core one is only $80.

@nevermind1534
Great Find mate! Although it has a fan, I could probably do something to make it shorter...
@chaksq
Since its night right now and the flash on my DSLR sucks, I will have to wait till tomorrow on the pics: Sorry! It is a Ford Ranger (2000) Extended Cab.
New Discussion:
Is there anyway I could keep parts of the original in the car so he could still listen to the radio?

About keeping it so you can use the stereo like normal: I have seen people put a normal head unit somewhere else, like in the glove box, or between the center console and the dash. You could get one with audio input and use that to for the sound from the carpc if you would rather avoid hooking up the soundcard to an amp then to speakers.
