Woohoo! Congrats on breaking new ground and welcome to TBCS. I remember when I first joined and was also new to both forums and modding. It was a wild new world with endless curiosity. Grab a camera, roll up your sleeves and just jump right in. Take pictures even if it is of mistakes, people around here are fantastic about giving sound advice and helping with ideas and problem solving. You'll be on the front page before you know it!

This thing is crazy. It has 6 3 speed 120mm fans and 1 3 speed 200mm fan on top. Some of the fans even have dust filters. It also has 4 removable bays.

The inside of the case. If u can see through the mess of wire that i need to manage better that there is to different types of ram on this computer. The reason is that when I got the MB I didn't know what duel channel or single channel was. So the red stick single channel 2 1gig stick set. And the silver is from a 2 2gig 1066 duel channel set so untel i get anther MB it is going to have to stay like that.:(

http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z263/cooldud02123/100_0772.jpg Here is the other half of the sets

OK i attempted to mod my computer by hiding my CD drive behind a stock drive bay.
But noooooo i cant do that cuz i suck. Well not really it worked and it looks good but i still messed up. What i wanted to do is use the re-set button on my computer to open my CD drive. but i had a dumb moment and unsolder my open button on my CD drive, and in doing so i messed up the board. Now the button doesn't work at all so instead of a button i have nothing. And now the only way to open it is to click open in my computer. So i guess i really didn't mess up to bad but it is not what i wanted it to do.

ok i need some help from who ever reads this thing. I want to know for the lack of money if i should go with a good like gtx 260 or somthing like that for a video card or maybe two 9800 not sure. And if i do that i wanted to know if i should go with the an XFX 790i ultra or a XFX 780i. I know the XFX 790 is ddr3 Mother Board which i know is going to be good. but it scares me cuz i dont know anything about ddr3. I have heard it is meant more for gaming but idk i could be wrong. but any ideas would help me out.

For the graphics, it really depends on what resolution your monitor is and what you'll be doing with it. If you have a 1280x1024 or smaller monitor, your probably won't see a whole lot of improvement from a single 9800GTX to a GTX260. On the other hand, if you're considering dual 9800GTX's or a single GTX260, I would recommend the single GTX260, mainly because the scaling of cards in SLI is nowhere near 100% (averages around 20-40% if I remember correctly, depending on the program), assuming the dual 9800GTX's were to be put in SLI. As for DDR3, it greatly increases the possible throughput, but really only shines when you run in triple-channel mode (ie, you need sticks in multiples of 3). This is why you'll often see DDR3 kits now with 3 sticks instead of 2. DDR3 is still early in its life, and as such is also a bit more expensive still than DDR2, so it depends where your priorities are.

Ya idk what i want it to do yet and i found a really good deal on a 9800 GT and i really like it. I have had no problem running any of my games with it so i really don't see the use of going any bigger any time soon now. So with that said i think i am going to focus on lighting and cooling for the time being. also thanks for the help x88x.
